Effect on benefit

Any inclusion or exclusion of a dependent child from a client's benefit will result in a general review of the client's Young Parent Payment and any Extra help they are getting.

YSSU may need to review the following:

• Accommodation Supplement
  Changes to the family composition may result in a change to the Accommodation Supplement entry thresholds.
• Non-standard benefit rate
  Where a child is added or removed the non-standard rate of payment may have to be manually adjusted.
• Temporary Additional Support
  Any change to family circumstances will result in a review of Temporary Additional Support. A child included or excluded from the Young Parent Payment may result in a change to the allowable costs for Temporary Additional Support.
