Couple - both failed, one recomplies first
Where a married, civil union or de facto couple are both on a 100% suspension (this could be a grade 3 sanction or a suspension after 4 weeks) and one person recomplies first, their Youth Payment and their portion of the supplementary assistance must be resumed or regranted.
The non-complying partner's benefit must remain sanctioned until they recomply.
Note Accommodation Supplement and Temporary Additional Support can only be paid to one person. The YSSU will need to regrant Accommodation Supplement and Temporary Additional Support to the young person who has recomplied and pay them 50% of the rate the couple got prior to the sanction being imposed. The full couple rate of Winter Energy Payment can also be paid to the young person who has recomplied.
If the other sanctioned person recomplies, increase this rate to 100% from the date that this young person recomplies.
