Community Services Card : Contents
Income test
A client doesn't need to be income tested to get a Community Services Card if they:
- are tenants of social housing or
- are getting an Accommodation Supplement or
- are getting an income-tested benefit or
- receive a Veteran's Pension
Otherwise, clients must meet an income test to qualify for a Community Services Card. The income limit for a Community Services Card depends on the client's relationship status and living situation.
Note a New Zealand Superannuation client whose partner is getting an income-tested benefit automatically qualifies for a Community Services Card, and is not income tested separately.
