Application period

To qualify for Bonus Payment, the client must apply during the application period.

The application period starts 12 months after the date the client's Jobseeker Support was cancelled from. It ends 15 months after the date Jobseeker Support was cancelled from.

Application date

The application date is the date MSD gets the client's Bonus Payment application form. This date is used to determine whether the application was made during the application period.

Payment can be approved outside the application period

Bonus Payment can be approved outside the application period if the client applied before the end of the application period. This could happen, but is not limited to, when the client applies:

  • near the end of the application period and MSD cannot process it before the period ends e.g. application is made during the weekend
  • within the application period, and MSD asks them to provide evidence within a reasonable period, but the deadline for providing the evidence is after the application period ends
