Community Job Coaching
Community Job Coaching is a service funded by MSD to support young people into employment. Young people aged 18 to 24 years old who have been getting Jobseeker Support for 3 months or more can get the service.
The service is provided for up to 6 months. If the client starts employment and stops getting Jobseeker Support while in the service, they can also get post placement employment support for up to 12 months.
Once a client has exited Community Job Coaching, they are no longer enrolled in the service. This may be because they reached the end of the service or for another reason.
Residency
A client must be ordinarily resident and present in New Zealand when they apply for Bonus Payment. This means a client who is temporarily overseas, for example on holiday, will not qualify.
Getting Jobseeker Support as a couple
A client who was in a relationship when they got Jobseeker Support can qualify for Bonus Payment whether they were the qualifying client or the included partner.
Both clients can qualify for Bonus Payment based on the same Jobseeker Support cancellation, even if the relationship has ended when they apply. However, they must meet all other qualifications in their own right.
