Hours of employment

To qualify for Relocate for Work Support, the client must have accepted a job offer that meets the hours of employment criteria. This means the employment must be:

  • at least 30 hours per week or
  • less than 30 hours per week if the income earned is equal to 30 hours at minimum wage or
  • at least 20 hours per week for sole parents with part-time work obligations

Income equal to 30 hours at minimum wage

This means the salary or wages the client will earn from their new job are equal to or more than what a person would earn working 30 hours per week at the relevant minimum wage.
