Advising a partner about a pre-benefit activity

When a partner is assigned a pre-benefit activity, they must be advised of:

  • their obligations relating to the pre-benefit activity
  • the timeframe for completing the assigned pre-benefit activity
  • the consequences of failing to complete the assigned pre-benefit activity

MSD cannot advise a client about the pre-benefit activity that their partner should complete - the partner must be advised.

When MSD assigns a pre-benefit activity as part of the application, confirmation must be provided of:

  • a client's date of first contact
  • the date a client must complete the application by, including any assigned pre-benefit activity and the consequences of not doing so and
  • review rights for the pre-benefit activity

Legislation
