Backdating of commencement date
Where you have determined that the client completed an application you should consider backdating the commencement date.
If it is clear an application was made, all the necessary information was, or has now been provided and the client continued to be eligible, the commencement date should be calculated using the date the original application was made.
Note if the application was made and declined, the normal Review of Decision process applies.
