Correction power decision declined
When the delegated authority has made the decision not to use the correction power, the following steps will be completed:
Step 1
- the delegated authority emails the manager client service delivery to advise them of the decision
- the delegated authority completes the CMS correction power decision template, giving the reasons for the decline
- the delegated authority prints off that CMS template, signs it, and mails it to the manager client service delivery
Step 2
- the email is provided to the case manager by the manager client service delivery
- the service centre manager gives the signed template to the case manager to place on the client's file
Step 3
The case manager will:
- send a letter of advice to the client, that must be reviewed by the manager client service delivery and the regional solicitor
- file all original paperwork as critical data on the clients file and
- update CMS including recording that a decline letter has been sent to the client
