Nil income

There is nothing to stop a client who has no income from getting an Accommodation Supplement.

However, as Accommodation Supplement only contributes to the total cost of accommodation, ensure the client is aware that:

• they are required to pay the balance of costs and
• they may need to review their living arrangements and
• there is other Extra help they may be able to receive and
• there is other benefit assistance
