Child Disability Allowance not payable

A Child Disability Allowance cannot be paid where:

• the child is granted:
  • a benefit in their own right (other than Orphans Benefit, Unsupported Childs Benefit or Disability Allowance)
  • a pension under the Veterans' Support Act 2014 (other than Children's Pension) or
  • weekly compensation, as defined in section 6 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001, and which is paid to the child
• the child is in the care of Oranga Tamariki or
• the child is in a state institution
