Approved OSCAR programmes
An approved OSCAR programme is one that has been approved as a community service by Te Kāhui Kāhu (Social Services Accreditation).
For more information see:
Under no circumstances can MSD pay a subsidy for a programme that is not approved.
The OSCAR provider is given a letter of approval by Te Kāhui Kāhu detailing their current certification.
The programme's approval status must be checked before OSCAR subsidy can be granted as programme approval can be revoked by Te Kāhui Kāhu.
If a programme is not on the directory, the client will need to provide a copy of the programme's approval letter before OSCAR subsidy can be granted. This should only be when there has been a delay between the programme being approved and the directory being updated.
