Cash asset limits

To qualify for an Emergency Housing Grant, the cash assets of the client and the partner (if any) must not exceed the appropriate asset limit.

Exceptional circumstances

If a client’s cash assets exceed the appropriate asset limit, check if there are exceptional circumstances. If there are, MSD can use discretion to grant an Emergency Housing Grant.
