Clothing Allowance for Orphans and Unsupported children
From 1 July 2018 weekly payments of Clothing Allowance for Orphans and Unsupported children are paid to all caregivers who are getting Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit. The allowance is based on the age of the child and adjusted annually with the Consumer Price Index.
Clothing Allowance is paid weekly on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at the same time that Orphans Benefit and Unsupported Childs Benefit payments are made.
Payment is made one week in arrears and covers a 7 day period.
The payment is made at different rates depending on the age of the child.

Payment of Clothing Allowance for Orphans and Unsupported children will stop when the client is no longer getting Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit for that child.
