Temporary absence
If advice is received that the client will be absent from residential care for a temporary period, and the service provider is holding the client's bed, continue paying the client's benefit contribution to the service provider.
Client's authorisation withdrawn
If the client withdraws their authorisation for benefit re-direction Work and Income is obliged to stop the re-direction. However where appropriate every effort should be made to discuss this with the service provider.
