Temporary absence

If the service provider or Ministry of Health advise Work and Income that the client will be absent for a temporary period, continue paying the client's benefit contribution. This can continue for up to 3 weeks while the client is absent.

Removal of benefit redirection

If the client withdraws their authorisation for benefit redirection Work and Income are obliged to increase their benefit payment as requested by the client, however, every effort should be made to verify this with the service provider.
