Standards
If the client has been assessed, and the service provider can fully complete the Residential Support Subsidy application form within 24 hours of the client entering care, then this form should be emailed to Work and Income.
The application form should be actioned within 24 hours of receipt. You must advise the Ministry of Health as follows:
Client name | Client number | Service provider | Service providers residential address | Date RSS granted from | Amount of main benefit | Amount of Personal Allowance | Type of main benefit |
This means the total turn around time from receipt to notification is 48 hours. This is very important. If the benefit is not granted straight away or Ministry of Health does not receive the notification, then they do not know how much to pay the service provider.
