Separation of a couple

When a couple separate and they both have been receiving Special Transfer Allowance, either one or both partners may qualify for the allowance.

If only one partner qualifies:

• only the client who qualifies can continue to receive Special Transfer Allowance

If both partners qualify:

• both of them may receive Special Transfer Allowance
