Other approved parenting and early childhood home education programmes
Other approved parenting and early childhood home education programmes are programmes that involve parents educating their children at home with external support.
Programmes will need to meet the approval criteria set out in the Ministerial Direction which states the programme must:
- provide early childhood education to children under the age of 6 in their own homes and not to other children
- deliver positive educational outcomes for the children to whom it is provided
- be supervised and have specific early learning outcomes
- be aligned with Government priorities relating to early childhood education (ECE) and vulnerable children
