Calculating the period of absence

In all cases, when assessing the period of absence does not include:

  • the date of departure from New Zealand and
  • the date of return to New Zealand

As New Zealand Superannuation payments do not cover any specific period, you must look at the pay days that fall within the 26 weeks when confirming payment.
