Changes and reviews
Clients have an obligation to advise MSD of any changes in their circumstances that may affect their entitlement to New Zealand Superannuation or the rate payable.
MSD may also review New Zealand Superannuation at any time to check that the client still meets the qualifications and is getting the correct rate of payment (if applicable).
Mandatory Reviews for New Zealand Superannuation clients
Only clients getting New Zealand Superannuation with a grandparented non-qualified partner included have a Mandatory Review for their New Zealand Superannuation.
Clients who do not have a non-qualified partner included in their benefit do not have a Mandatory Review for their New Zealand Superannuation.
However, all New Zealand Superannuation clients getting Disability Allowance or Accommodation Supplement have a Mandatory Review for this assistance.
Clients must respond to the Mandatory Review before their review date, or the assistance being reviewed will suspend.
