Changes and reviews
Caregivers have an obligation to advise MSD of any changes in their circumstances that may affect their entitlement to Orphan's Benefit and Unsupported Child's Benefit or the rate of payment.
MSD may also review a benefit at any time to check if the caregiver still meets the qualifications and is getting the correct rate of payment (if applicable).
Mandatory Review for Orphan's Benefit and Unsupported Child's Benefit
MSD must review a caregiver's Orphan's Benefit or Unsupported Child's Benefit within 52-weeks of when the benefit commenced, or within 52-weeks from when the caregiver's last Mandatory Review was completed.
Caregivers must respond to the Mandatory Review before their review date, or their payments will suspend.
