Client dies before benefit is granted or reviewed

Surviving dependent child

When a client dies (and there is a surviving dependent child) before a decision is made on an application or review for Sole Parent Support you can continue the application or review process as if the client had not died.

Funeral Grant

In situations when the decision to grant or review Sole Parent Support is made after the date of death of the client, you decide any Funeral Grant as if the deceased client were receiving Sole Parent Support.
