No details of a nominated person provided

If a client refuses or is unable to provide the details of a third party, you should talk to the client about why they will not name one. This may include asking the client a series of questions about their relationship status.

You should also consider whether the other information they have provided indicates the client's relationship status. For example, if the client has provided evidence of their bank account number, and this evidence shows that the bank account is a joint bank account number - this might suggest that a client is still in a relationship.

There is a series of follow-up questions you can ask your client to help gather information about their relationship status.
