Approved budgeting programme activity

Young partners may be required to participate in and complete an approved budgeting programme

An approved budgeting programme aims to provide young people with skills in financial management. Young people must be referred to a provider from the list of authorised courses and providers already contracted the Ministry of Social Development.

The providers of the budgeting programme will provide a programme that is in line with the Youth Services Guidelines for the content of the approved programme.

Where there are no budgeting providers contracted in a particular area, the service provider will have to deliver the budgeting programme themselves.
