One-off environmental change is not sheltered employment
If the employer has made a one-off environmental change to the work place the client is not working in sheltered employment. For example a client would not be considered as working in sheltered employment if an employer made changes to the work place such as:
- installing a ramp to assist wheelchair users or
- purchasing specialised equipment such as an electronic hoist to carry heavy objects
