Supported Living Payment : Contents
Single clients
Generally, Supported Living Payment should be suspended when a single client is imprisoned. This will enable the benefit to be resumed if the client is only in prison for a short period and re-applies for a benefit following their release.
Note the Supported Living Payment should be suspended from the date following imprisonment.
Exception - remanded in custody
Although the Supported Living Payment should be stopped for any period during which the client is remanded in custody pending further court appearance, there is discretion to continue payment of all or part of the benefit.
