Start date of Sustainable Employment Trial
The start date of a client's Sustainable Employment Trial is the day:
- the client starts work or
- when the client and Work and Income agree to the Sustainable Employment Trial, if the client is already in employment
whichever is the later date.
Backdating start date
If a client is already in employment, the start date of their Sustainable Employment Trial cannot be backdated. This means the Sustainable Employment Trial cannot have a start date prior to the client having gained the agreement of their case manager to take part in the Sustainable Employment Trial.
The Sustainable Employment Trial provisions came into force on 1 July 2004.
