Needs help to stop or undiagnosed drug dependence
A good and sufficient reason for failing a drug test obligation includes where a partner has a drug issue identified by the Alcohol Drug Helpline - Work and Income Support Service and is engaging and participating in services and support offered by the Alcohol Drug Helpline - Work and Income Support Service.
The partner can be asked to provide verification from the Drug test obligations verification form [no link find out why] for beneficiaries. The verification must state the duration or time that the partner is receiving support. There is a Drug test obligations Helpline verification form that will be completed by Helpline staff and sent to the partner. It is up to the partner to provide this form as verification.
The Alcohol Drug Helpline - Work and Income Support Service will offer the following support and services:
- brief interventions (series of telephone contacts)
- brief assessment (brief clinical assessment) or
- referral for a comprehensive face to face AOD assessment and treatment plan or
- referral to other health or social service agencies or
- confirmation of drug treatment details
