Recompliance and Upskilling

Upskilling is both a sanction for an obligation failure, and a recompliance activity for a client to recomply with their obligations.

This means that a client who is completing Upskilling is not required to complete the same or similar activity that they originally failed to do.

If a client completes the requirements of Upskilling and provides verification, they will be considered to have recomplied from the day they complete Upskilling.

Clients who do not complete Upskilling will be considered non-compliant. Their payments will be reduced or stopped, and MSD must assign an alternative recompliance activity as soon as possible.
