Reporting progress

You can require a client to report on their progress in meeting their work or work preparation obligations.

You must advise the client that if they fail to comply with this obligation, without a good and sufficient reason, they have an obligations failure.

Clients and partners with work preparation obligations

You can require a client or partner to report on their progress in meeting their work preparation obligations. This may include reporting on progress of any activities they have been required to undertake.

A client or partner can report by either phone, email or in person.

Example

You have asked a partner with a 2 year old child to research childcare options and training options available in their community and to call you in a month to update you on their progress. If the partner does not contact you, you should initiate an obligations failure.

Partners with work obligations

You can require a partner with work obligations to report on their job search progress.

A partner can report by either phone, email or in person. Generally a partner should not be required to report more than once a week.

Example

You have asked the partner to register with various recruitment agencies and call you weekly to update on their job search progress.

If the partner does not contact you, you should initiate an obligations failure.
