Person detained under a Public Protection Order
A person who has a Public Protection Order may get Veteran’s Pension if they meet the qualifications.
A Public Protection Order is when a person has finished their sentence in prison but for public safety they must remain in a secure residence.
This is to protect members of the public from the almost certain harm from serious sexual or violent offences. Corrections fund the costs of the person being detained in a residence within the prison compound.
