At risk (4)

Need to move from current living situation due to family violence:

• presence of severe persistent family violence or harassment
• household required to move due to potential threat of violence from within the household
• household required to move due to potential threat of violence from outside of the household (eg ex-partner has relocated into the neighbourhood and presents a potential threat to the household)

Need to move from current living situation due to tension, or other violence:

• tension or difficulties exist within the household and immediate relocation is required in order to avoid stress related issues for any household member
• extreme fear of current accommodation or neighbourhood
• current accommodation is unsuitable due to safety and the risk to the client is severe

Serious housing need (3)

Need to move from current living situation due to tension, or other violence:

• tensions or difficulties increasing within the household causing undesirable living environment
• current accommodation is unsuitable due to safety and the risk to the client is serious from someone outside the neighbourhood
• fear of current accommodation

Moderate need (2)

Need to move from current living situation due to tension, or other violence:

• tensions or difficulties within the household causing moderate undesirable living environment
• neighbourhood tension, for example racial tension
• current accommodation is unsuitable due to safety and the risk to the client is moderate
• neighbourhood or racial tension

Low or no need (1)

Need to move from current living situation due to tension, or other violence:

• tension or difficulties within the household exist but no ill effects are being experienced by household member
