Client no longer wants a rate of Income Related Rent calculated
A client can decide not to have a rate of Income Related Rent calculated.
When a client advises that they do not want a rate of Income Related Rent calculated, you should discuss with the client their reasons why and ask them if they are considering moving from the social housing property.
The client will continue to be eligible for social housing and you should increase their rate of Income Related Rent to the rate equal to the market rent rate.
Note clients, who do not have a rate of Income Related Rent calculated for them, are still required to complete an annual review of Income Related Rent.
