Review of decision for Income Related Rent debts

When an application for Review of Decision involves an Income Related Rent debt currently being recovered from the client, it is appropriate to suspend recovery until the review and appeal process is completed.

If the debt is currently being recovered from the client's benefit, the deductions will need to be suspended.

Where the client is not receiving a benefit you will need to advise Client Support – Debt Management that the client has lodged an application for a Review of Decision in respect of the Income Related Rent debt.

Note you do not refund any payments already deducted until the outcome of the review or appeal is known.
