Date of change in circumstance

MSD needs to determine the date of the change in circumstances. This is either:

  • the actual date that the change in circumstances occurred or
  • the date it is considered that the client's assessable income or additional occupant contributions permanently reduced or increased

whichever is the later.

At the annual review of the rate of Income Related Rent, when activating and notifying the housing provider of a change other than a change in circumstance, provide the date of processing.
