Client no longer needs housing

Clients may advise they no longer need a house. Where clients identify they no longer have a housing need, they must be removed from the register.

Applications for clients at risk or in serious housing need removed, can be reinstated without the need for a new eligibility assessment if they make contact within 8 weeks.

Note clients who make contact within 8 weeks who are found not to have a good and sufficient reason for declining a property will not have their social housing application reinstated. They will need to re-apply for social housing to determine they have a persistent housing need that is serious or severe.
