Client becomes sick

A client who has a health condition, injury or disability will no longer be able to meet their job search requirements. They may be able to continue to receive a Jobseeker Support Student Hardship with a deferral for temporary illness.

A partner with work obligations who has a health condition, injury or disability can be exempt from meeting their work obligations until they are well again.

Where a client (or partner's) health condition permanently and severely restricts their ability to work, they may be able to receive Supported Living Payment on the ground of a health condition, an injury or a disability.

If the client (or partner) is admitted to hospital it may affect their rate of payment.
