Client deferred from their work obligations

The following clients may have a deferral from their work obligations:

  • clients with a health condition, injury or a disability
  • clients who are 27 weeks pregnant or more, or have complications with the pregnancy

These clients generally cannot be absent from New Zealand, and keep getting their benefit payments, unless they meet the criteria for approved travel.
