Students may qualify for additional assistance such as:
In some cases students or their partners may be able to receive an Accommodation Supplement paid as a non-beneficiary
Students with children need to apply to Inland Revenue for family tax credit and Best Start tax credit. It is not paid with Student Allowance.

Students or their partners may qualify for Extra help as a non-beneficiary, such as:
Childcare Assistance Programme
Students receiving Student Allowance automatically get sent a Community Services Card. However, students who receive a lower rate of Student Allowance because their partner is earning must apply for a Community Services Card.
