Limited full-time applications

To be eligible for the living costs component of a Student Loan, a student must normally be studying full-time.

The exception to this requirement is when they apply and get approval to study part-time under the Limited full-time provisions.

The Limited full-time study policy for Student Loans is the same policy used to assess eligibility to Limited full-time study for a Student Allowance, follow the links below for the categories of Limited full-time study:

• Student Allowance Illness of the student
• Student Allowance There is sufficient cause that is outside the student's control
• Student Allowance The course of study is in the students academic best interests
• Student Allowance The student will complete a recognised programme that they previously commenced but did not complete and they are undertaking 'more than half of a full-time course'
