General portability : Contents

Death of a client

General Portability payments may continue for up to 28 days after the client's death regardless of their relationship status.

Payments for surviving partners should change to the single sharing rate of payment from the day after their partner's date of death.

Mandatory Reviews

There are no Mandatory Reviews of New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran's Pension paid under General Portability when the client has died.
