Changes and reviews for Australian pensions
A client is obliged to advise Work and Income of any changes in their circumstances that may affect their entitlement to a New Zealand benefit or pension.
You may also review a benefit at any time to ensure that the client still meets the qualification and is receiving the correct rate of payment.
A client is also required to provide any information required by the Australian authorities to ensure that they are still entitled to their Australian pension paid in New Zealand. Any such information provided to you by the client should be forwarded to International Services.
When MSD matches a client's information with information from Australia, MSD must send a written notice of adverse action to the client.
A notice of adverse action is only required upon receipt of the first information match.
