New Zealand Superannuation
When a client from Denmark meets all the qualifications for New Zealand Superannuation except residence they may qualify under the agreement with Denmark.
The agreement with Denmark allows periods of residence in Denmark since the age of 20 to be regarded as residence and presence in New Zealand for a client to meet the period of residence qualification for New Zealand Superannuation.
The client must be the New Zealand qualifying age.
The client may also be entitled to a Danish pension, which may be directly deducted from their New Zealand entitlement.
Note when New Zealand Superannuation is granted using the agreement with Denmark you will need to add the reciprocal indicator by using the NDTA screen in SWIFTT and entering 10 in the entitlement code field.
