Clients going overseas
When a client receiving an Irish benefit or pension leaves New Zealand for a temporary absence the Irish benefit or pension may still be paid.
The normal absence provisions apply to any New Zealand benefit or pension they are receiving.
If a client is going to the Republic of Ireland and intends to stay there for more than 26 weeks they may be able to receive payment of their New Zealand benefit or pension in Ireland.
If the client is going to reside in any other country they may qualify for payment overseas depending on their circumstances. For advice about a client's entitlement overseas contact International Services
