Last child turning 14
Client's receiving Sole Parent Support payments as a widow or widower will cease to be eligible for payments once their last dependent child turns 14. Clients cannot transfer to Jobseeker Support once their child has turned 14 as Jobseeker Support is not included as a benefit payable under the Agreement with Jersey/Guernsey.
If the client returns to New Zealand after their last dependent child turns 14 they may be eligible for Jobseeker Support but will not be eligible for a New Zealand benefit if they remain ordinarily resident in Jersey/Guernsey.
Supported Living Payment clients with dependent children and grandparented Widow's Benefit and Domestic Purposes Benefit for widowers with dependent children do not lose their entitlement when their last child turns 14.
