Veterans Pension
When a client from Jersey/Guernsey meets all the qualifications for the New Zealand Veterans Pension except residence they may qualify under the agreement with Jersey/Guernsey.
The agreement with Jersey/Guernsey allows periods of contributions to the insurance scheme in Jersey/Guernsey to be regarded as residence in New Zealand for a client to meet the period of residence qualification for Veterans Pension.
The client can use their own or their partners (or former partners) periods of contributions to the Jersey/Guernsey insurance scheme to meet the New Zealand residence qualification.
The client must meet the New Zealand service and disability qualifications.
The client may also be entitled to a Jersey/Guernsey pension, which may be directly deducted from the New Zealand Veterans Pension.
