New Zealand benefits and pensions
New Zealand benefits included in the agreement with Malta are:
- New Zealand Superannuation
- Veterans Pension
The agreement does not cover any other benefits, funeral grants, or extra help assistance.
This means totalisation of periods of contributions in Malta cannot be used to meet residence qualifications for a New Zealand benefit such as Jobseeker Support.
