Restoring incentive payments

The service provider or Work and Income "in-house" service can recommend that an incentive payment be returned to the young person, if they are satisfied that the young person is now acting in a way that is consistent with the aims of the incentive payment.

When the incentives will be returned depends on:

• the reason that the incentive was removed
• whether the young person has undertaken or completed steps to address their actions
• whether the service provider or Work and Income "in-house" service is satisfied that the young person is now acting in a way that is consistent with the aims of the incentive payment
