Employment and work readiness assistance

Employment and work readiness assistance is discretionary and aims to improve client outcomes (employment and social) by moving clients and their partners (if any) closer to independence.

This assistance primarily focuses on those at risk of receiving a benefit long term by granting special assistance to help:

• a client or partner become ready for work by reducing barriers to their employment

or

• a client or partner who is ready for work, facilitate their transition into, and retention of sustainable employment
